Bob is the President and founder of Amherst Financial Group, a Registered Investment Advisory Firm located in the heart of Amherst, NH. With a hands-on approach to client service, Bob manages both personal client relationships and the firm's investment management and compliance departments.
Originally from Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Bob moved to New Hampshire in 1997 to attend Plymouth State College. After graduating in 2001, he began his career in the financial services industry, earning multiple licenses in insurance and securities, including his Life, Accident, and Health insurance license, Property and Casualty insurance license, and Series 6, 63, 65, 7, and 24 securities licenses.
Driven by a passion for continued growth, Bob later earned his Master’s Degree in Financial Services from the American College, along with the Certified Financial Planner® designation. In addition to expanding his financial practice, he became an adjunct professor, teaching graduate-level financial planning courses. In 2021, Bob broadened his offerings by becoming a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO), providing mortgages and other debt solutions to his clients.
Bob is also deeply committed to his community. He has served on several nonprofit boards, volunteered through the IRS V.I.T.A. program to help low-income residents with their taxes, founded a local Rotary International club, and coached his son’s travel soccer teams. Today, Bob continues his service as an on-call volunteer firefighter with Amherst Fire Rescue, responding to emergencies and serving his community whenever needed.
